The steel trading division expertise lead to tying up with the then Ugine Khulmars for setting up the first special steel plant known as 'Mahindra Ugine Steel Company'.

An independent major player; one of our key strengths is to build on the willingness to invest in the future of steel technologically, in Logistics and Trade Finance. 

With the ever increasing strategic importance and cross border consumption of steel from core industries to homes, we aim at contributing to the sector with genuine added value to a transaction, which comes not in terms of low cost service, but also with breaking bulk, managing buffer stocks and JIT deliveries.

The future of steel trading with us lies in collaborations/ equity stakes with quality suppliers from India along with overseas sourcing through our associates and trade partners. This not only warrants us an independent neutral status working towards converging both ends of demand and supply but also enables us to invest resources in wider product basket, thus creating opportunities for all.
